Beau’s 1st Birthday In Heaven

August 6, 2020

How has it already been a year. The anticipation leading up to this day brought a lot of different feelings. We imagined we would be planning the biggest 1st birthday party for Beau. Deciding what the theme of his party should be, what his smash cake would look like, what his birthday outfit would be.

We knew this day was coming and we still wanted to make it special. Kory and I spent the whole day together. We picked up balloons for Beau and took them out to the cemetery. We had both of our families over for dinner and cake. Some of Beau’s cousins got to do a balloon release. The excitement and little shrieks of, “Happy Birthday baby Beau” were so sweet.

My mom gave us a gift that she had been working on for the last year. She finished Beau’s scrapbook filled with memories of when we were pregnant, his little life and our first year with out him. It is so special and we can’t wait to be able to show our someday future babies all about their big brother.

Kory and I ended the night with sending up a wish lantern to heaven. We hope that Beau always knows how loved he is. We will never stop celebrating him and will look forward to these celebrations every year.

Thank you to everyone who reached out on this day. Sent us messages for Beau. All the dancers from Wausau Academy of Dance who wore blue for Beau. Your love and support means so much to us.

Beaus cake was made from Loving Traditions Cakery, LLC. It was absolutely perfect and tasted delicious.

Below you will find our message we wrote for Beau on his birthday and a video we made for his special day. It still makes me cry watching it, but I wouldn’t trade that week we got with Beau for anything.

To My Beautiful Baby Boy,

Today is your First Birthday. My tiny 2 pound 1 ounce miracle baby. You made your entrance into this world at 7:34pm, far too early. God knew what he was doing when he made you. You were our Rainbow after the storm. God picked us to be your mommy and daddy, and he picked you to be our son. Our Beau Rylee.

From the moment we found out about you, our hearts filled to a level I never knew was possible. The day we met you, our lives forever changed. You were the most beautiful baby. Your head full of dark brown hair. Your long fingers and toes that stretched so big. The way you scrunched your forehead when you were not happy. Your tiny little eyes that you tried so hard to open. We had 8 days with you, and you truly made those 8 days the BEST days of our lives.

For you I am so thankful. Thankful God gave us a week with you. Those moments that I will cherish forever. Today we celebrate you. You are the luckiest little boy to get to celebrate your birthday in Heaven with all the beautiful angels. I know your siblings are probably throwing you the best 1st birthday party. I wish more then anything you were still here today and I could give you the biggest hug and kiss. We are sending all our love to heaven and blowing you so many kisses. We miss you beyond words, especially today. We love you so, so much baby boy. Happy Birthday Beau.

Love, Your Mommy and Daddy
